It's really been a manic 2012 so far.
I seem to have a perpetual growing To Do list. I flick-flack between available media to maintain this ever-moving target. The iPad makes the list look more structured and professional, but has little to no effect on the daunting appearance of it. At times, I revert back to paper. Somehow, the satisfaction of crumpling up a sheet of paper, provides short-lived spasms of satisfaction.
And then, some new items appeared on the list. Immodium. Valoid. Myprodols. Corenza C. Refills for the First Aid kit. The stuff you simply don't leave off your packing list.
It certainly wasn't one of those "One day I want to go and see what Turkey is all about" moments. We were not even planning any leave in the near future. But somehow, a small seed was planted. "Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could come to Turkey with us!" Niel's sister was a lot faster at grabbing onto her random comment, and turning it into something that just felt like such a logical and awesome thing to do. We, of course, took a bit longer to really start considering the prospect. Two weeks in Turkey. A Trafalgar tour, which, in my opinion, means - Sit and be entertained.
And so, tomorrow we leave for a two week trip to Turkey. In our busy lives, we often neglect to sufficiently maintain the beautiful threads that constitute family ties. Spending two weeks experiencing the beauties of Turkey, is just such an awesome way to rekindle those ties.
Susan's random comment wasn't that random afterall.
